I can finally drive it! Still have some details to take care of, but it felt good to drive it around the block. I have a set of stock wheels/KM2's for it I just haven't put on yet. Got the heater working this morning and should have one of the wipers working tomorrow and then I can drive it in this weather. Still have to make a mount for my new PRP bench seat. The paint is just temporary rattle can to stop the rust. I stuck the running gear from a '77 FJ40 in it. 2F/4 speed and disc brake front axle and then put FJ60 power steering in it. I got the PTO working with the new running gear, but I still have to do some work to the winch itself. It's getting there though.

Yes I did have the bed off. When I first got the truck home the first thing I did was wire brush the bed on the outside and sprayed it with gray rust oleum primer to stop the rust but then I didn't work on it for a couple of years and it rusted right through the primer. For the most part I wire brushed stuff like fenders and the cab and doors primed it and then just used gray rust oleum enamel. I was running out of time weather wise so I took the bed, cab and hood and had them sandblasted. The bed was a lot worse than I thought so it's going to need a new floor and sides. My plan is seafoam green next summer.
