Getting a new to me 100 series what’s a fair price?

Heading up to the Bay Area this Friday to pick up a 2000 LC100. It’s a rareish LC. I know you could special order 100s in 1998 but was unaware you could any other years. This owner found a dealer that would do it for him.

1 owner, River Rock Mica, 64k documented miles and special ordered (took him 8 months to get) no 3rd row so no wing windows or 3rd row AC, no roof rack, running boards, came with the front splash guards, ZERO laminate wood grain, no nav, no rear spoiler. SUPER clean and garaged it’s whole life. Dealer maintnace 2 years ago 2k miles that included t-belt, pump, idler, serp belt. He changed the oil its whole life himself. He said he didn’t trust the dealer for that stuff . It does have a moonroof and leather (leather is immaculate)

It has never been modified and has 2 small scratches on the rear bumper and he said both front arm rests are stuck in the up position (weird)

I have the car fax and pulled the build sheet and all lines up. Build sheet shows 5 seater no mention of roof rack or running boards but does mention the front splash guards. the only thing added was $180 for floor mats and rear cargo mat. 52k and change MSRP.

What do you all think a fair price is?

Been in the market for a long time for a low mileage honest LC100. Most have too much undocumented history and are beat. Really prefer an 01 or 02 but this is a once in a lifetime deal I feel. It is not advertised just word of mouth.

Wow! Only 64k miles? That is an extremely rare find. Price wise I'm probably not the best to ask but I would say at least #35,000-$40,000?
Just my guess. Other guys on here know better than me.

That's a tough one. I'd say $25k-40k+. That sounds like a candidate for BaT and if on there it's anyone's guess where it would end up. Reason for the wide range is private sale a fair price IMO is $25kish probably closer to $30k, but if I were selling and did my homework I'd know this thing could cause a bidding war. Note: All based on my opinion and subjective view of the market based on watching BaT, facebook marketplace, Mud, etc.

Yes, those are my thoughts as well. It’s all documented and pretty rare so think it would bring high 40s on BaT. But probably don’t have the heart to do that. I’ll likely sale my 01 which is in amazing shape as well.

I’m paying the top of what you mentioned but feel it’s a great investment.

That's awesome! I agree that these cars are good investments. Personally, I love these cars because you get so much more 'car' than new models without the insane price tag and dealer markups etc.

Few photos. Notice the rubber seal on rear windows. I have not seen that on US spec models this model year. Only seen on 98s with fabric interior and no 3rd row.

yes, getting it for sure but paying about that. Will likely keep it as my forever 100 and sale my 01
