getting a half-cut from SOR to Proffitt's

shipping an 80-series half-cut from Chatsworth, CA to Delta, CO

Hey guys,

I need to ship an 80-series half-cut from Chatsworth, CA (91311) to Delta, CO (81416) sometime between now and early May.

I was told that the cost of freight would be reduced by taking the engine, transmission, and all other parts required for the engine conversion out of the half-cut, but someone else said it would be easier to just have the entire half-cut with everything in place to do the engine swap.

I was quoted ~$1200-1300 to ship the engine & transmission etc. (i.e., taken out of the half-cut).

Any suggestions on carriers to check out?

Any thoughts/advice are greatly appreciated.

I had a complete FJ45 non operational shipped from Long island New york to Exeter, Ca for $1,295. I think Marvin might be a little high on his freight estimate.

what's a half-cut? half a body? I've never heard that term. Damn! Who had a 45 series out here on LI? Animal, who'd you buy that from? I don't ever remember ANYONE here with one of those!

A guy buy the name of Chris Donavan. He posted it in e-bay, spelled toyota wrong andput down fi instead of fj. I ran across it looking a pictures.
