Alright, since the map currently on the Flat Nasty site Ron has added three new trails. Two are easy (for stock vehicles) and one is "somewhere between easy and moderate" according to Shelia. I think that means it may need a locker or some skillz. I left message for Ron to call this evening and will have some additional info then.

Thanks again!

I'm flying into St. Louis on Wednesday night. I'll borrow a car from my folks and drive down to Flat Nasty on Thursday afternoon. I'll ride along and take pictures on Friday. Saturday morning, I'll head back to St. Louis.

Questions:
1. Do I need to register, since I won't be driving? I'd still like to buy a t-shirt and dinner on Friday night. Can I buy some raffle tickets too?

2. I'm fine camping. Should I bring my tent and sleeping bag with me from Colorado? Does someone have a really big tent where I could sleep if I bring just my bag?

Thanks!

Nope, we'll set ya up as a passenger. PM trainrech with t-shirt size, and how many raffle tickets ya want and he'll get ya taken care of.

We'll have room for ya... just bring a sleeping bag!

See ya there!

Mike

Saturday evenings BBQ will be smoked turkey breast, smoked pork loin, baked beans, cole slaw, bread and iced tea (or your own favorite beverage).

From what I've heard from Ron atFlat Nasty ORP to smoked turkey is "incredible".

Is there enough room in the park's camping area that someone pulling in Thursday afternoon will be able to find a place to squat? Or should I figure on setting up at one of the many campgrounds along 19 on the way up?

Tim,

There are three large primative camping areas at the park. I'm not sure which one we'll be using as a base, but several of us will be there and should have signs posted by Wednesday afternoon.

Cool, thanks. I would rather camp primitive with "the brethren" than in luxury with the outsiders.. :)

Sounds like there should be plenty of room for the tent, the pop-up canopy, the cot, the chairs, the latte maker, the blender, the port-a-potty...
