This is borderline chat and yet teck at the same time. I just realized today as I was driving in town that my beast makes a crap load of sounds. The clicking and clunking, brakes that squeal at times, tires humming on the road, and not to mention the exhaust is kind of loud.

I just did all the brakes, the drive line has new u-joints, and I serviced the birfs a few months back. I do know that my control arms are hitting the sway bars so this takes care of one clicking and clunking sound. Oh and yes, I do have the drop brackets on and caster plates. Still hits! Anyway, does anyone else have these sort of issues? You know, I actually dont mind though now that I think about it (and I have had a few:beer: ) Anyway, does anyone else just forget about the little things like some of those random noises etc.?;)

I could not, for two reasons.

1. Noises can be no big deal or the only early warning you will get of impending expensive doom that will total your truck. only way to tell the difference is to track them all down and eliminate them when possible.

2. They can be extremely annoying and whether true or not it leaves the impression of a vehicle in poor mechanical condition.

I have had several, most of them have been eliminated, had a bad squeak when I went over speed bumps, thought it was somewhere in the front suspension, laid under the truck several times never could find it, had the hood open at work with a friend helping with another task, he found one of the hood strut brackets was loose, tightened and squeak is gone.
