Here is a picture of the breather in my transfer case.

Like said, I would like to extend it, but I can't find any information about the thread in the transfer.

The only thing I constantly find is the replacement of the breather in the diff with part number 90404-51319 (see 2nd picture).

Toyota 90930-03136: 5/16” Barb
Toyota 90930-03031: M10 x 1.00 Thread Pitch
Toyota 90404-51319: M10 x 1.00 Thread Pitch, 3/8” Barb
Toyota 90404-51026: M10 x 1.00 Thread Pitch, 1/4” Barb
Nissan 38323-C6010: M10 x 1.00 Thread Pitch, 3/16” Barb

Will this also fit in the transfer case?

I believe the thought there was that the tranny would breath out the shifter hole.

I believe this is the case. I know the A440F slushbox breathes thru the dipstick tube.

I've extended a few on transfers in FJ62's. It's a pain, because it is not threaded, it is pressed in. I would only do it if you have the case apart, as you have to thread the hole. Still, the clearance is very tight against the floor, you need to put a 90d elbow on with a hose barb.

Thanks KLF!

I feared already it was pressed in and not screwed in.

I am not going to lower the whole thing just for this, but if I have to for some other reason, I will extend this breather at the same time...

I know this is an old ass thread but any one just pried the cap off the breather and just slid a hose and clamp off the remaining barb?
