Ive been following this thread since it started. I know for a fact that I want to go with 4.88's, ARB's, and 315's since it seems that many people have been happy with that setup including several on here. Jack let me drive his truck before I bought my 80, and it felt great on the freeway with that tire/gear combo.

So, here's the thread.... post #60 has the info on price and the company offering the group buy discount.

I think i'm going to jump on this deal since its a huge savings. I'll have to leave the gears on the shelf for a year or two since I don't have the money for the rest of the goodies right now, but I think this is a great deal on something that i know i will buy anyways.

What do you guys think? I don't think gears are like laptop computers meaning every 6 months a new piece of technology comes out making the others obsolete. Will this still be a good choice even if they sit untill the new lift/tires/and ARB's arrive?

Probably a safe bet, even if your whole world changed you could still off the gears on Mudbay or Expo.

What Dan said. Ali had his gear set on the shelf for a couple of years, so there shouldn't be a problem.

I wouldn't see a problem with getting them now either. I went to 315s and was running around on stock gears for about a year. When I had the shop redo them, I talked to him about my options. I was going to get 4.88s, but decided on 5.29s as I thought I would eventually get a 37" tire down the road. Well, it's been a few years on the 5.29s and 315s and I am happy. I get to 65-70 fairly quickly and I am happy running at that speed. I am still contemplating 37s, but need to wear out my 315s and save up some cash.

cool. when do you expect to install them?

When I can afford the ARB's, bigger tires, and the labor. I only bought them right now because of the killer deal I got, so in the closet they go!

your in the closet.

gonna leave that one alone

When are you springs going to arrive?

haha, smart ass. :grinpimp:

I'm hoping to hear from my friend chris at any time. He said 4 days, so hopefully sometime this week. My castor correction bushings arrived from Slee today though.
