My son who will be 16 in December has choosen a 40 for his first vehicle. We have now purchased 3 and should have enough parts to complete one. We have a 69 with low miles that has a good front axel but the rear was ripped out in 73 by a concrete piller. We want to match with the rear from a 70. Were there optional ratios or just 4.11 in 69 and 70?

Thanks in advance,

Russell

4.11 were the only ratio offered(well there were early "supposedly" availible optional gears, but we won't worry about that as they don't really exist) from the early 60's thru 78 all US Cruisers used 4.11's. But with what you have, all should match just fine.
