As a newbie, I am interested in obtaining the name of a West Coast manufacturer for the #1 grille guard for my FJ 80. I am looking for a one piece, welded construction, and with pre-drilled holes for mounting lights.

Well, welcome, Mate!

We are nice folks here, but some don't take well to the word "grille guard" be forewarned....

If you meant serious bull bar, then yes, there are some like the ARB and the Slee and others. Much reading to be had here.

A front bull bar is on my list of mods also. I'm leaning towards an ARB winch model. Made in Australia but I believe they are shipped out of Seattle.

Slee off-road is USA http://www.sleeoffroad.com/index.html has bull bars as well.

Hanna Quality Motosports is West Coast but I don't know if he has front bumpers. I have his rock sliders and they are great.

It has to do with the actual protection and durability of the bumpers
