Hello Green Country Cruisers,

Sorry for the late information, but we wanted to get some more details out regarding the 2017 Fall Picnic & Raffle, as we are doing things a little differently this year.

This year our event will be held at Burris Valley Ranch (www.bvrok.com) located between McAlester and Clayton. We will have access to the entire 3700 acre off road park for the weekend of November 10th-12th, with the cookout and raffle held on Saturday, November 11th. You must be a paid GCC member to participate and raffle tickets will be sold for $1 each. There will be over $1000 in prizes given away, including a separate raffle and prizes for the kids! We are family friendly! This year you must be present to be eligible to win the Grand Prize, but raffle tickets for all other prizes may be purchased via mailed check or PayPal if you are not able to attend.

The club will provide burgers and hotdogs for lunch Saturday and we ask that everyone bring either a side item, chips, salad, or dessert to share. We plan on having lunch around noon with the raffle to follow immediately after. Midwest Expedition Outfitters and Chef Freddie will graciously be providing the club with some authentic Louisiana cooking for dinner Saturday night. Beer will be provided by Jarboe Sales Co.

Feel free to come up for just the picnic and raffle on Saturday, but we encourage everyone to stay the entire weekend or even just one night. I know many of us from Tulsa plan on staying Friday-Sunday. Lodging in the bunkhouse will be available for $25/person per night, with about 14 bunks provided plus additional space for people to put down their own air mattresses or cots. RV hookups are $40 a night, camping plots that fit 3 tents are $20 a night, or you can camp elsewhere out on the property at no charge. There is a chance that there will also be private Lodge rooms available at $50/$75 a night.

Burris Valley Ranch has trails from mild to wild, so don’t feel like you need an off road buggy just to have some fun. There are nearly endless trails to explore and the property sits atop a beautiful mountain with plenty of views! Park fees are $25 per vehicle per day to wheel, regardless of number of passengers.

@Bripars40 you want to join us?

Are you all heading out tomorrow afternoon? I had planned to install my longfields before doing this trip but my plans went back and forth. We were going to the OU game and now we’re not haha

Sounds fun! Thinking through it more I am going to sit this one out. I’ll catch the next event in 2018.

@cornboy let me know next time you’re wrenching on your cruiser and I’ll bring my 40 over. I’m just off 35 in Edmond.
