Gauge 'Pod'

I didn't really like the 'A Pillar Gauge Pod' that I ordered from LoTek - so I fabbed my own.

Had some scrap lexan around, sanded it and color matched to middle dash color.

Came out pretty good...if I do say so myself.

That's why I didn't really like the a-pillar pod. I found myself too distracted by it since it was right in the corner of my view!

I see what you mean....I just did an install(and forthcoming write-up)on a a-pillar install. The lighting for both the temp and vacuum cannot be dimmed, so what I'll do(If I think they're distract me)is add a switch that will kill the power to the l.e.d lights.

Since they're both mechanical gauges, cutting the power off will not affect what they do.

I also really didn't like the idea of drilling into the frame to mount it. Did you put any fairing over the gap on the top of your pod?

I didn't like the idea of drilling either, but I figure, it's a small hole and it can easily be covered up. It's not completely done yet. I'm going to clean it up a bit.

You can turn the censor feature off in your user CP. scraping got me when I first joined too.
