Gas Vapor pouring from my gas cap!

A new gas cap is a cheap repair. Before replacing the charcoal canister though, remove it first and blow compressed air through all of your lines and every orifice of the canister itself. Give it all a good blowout. Then reassemble and see if your problem continues. Apparently there is ethanol residue that can build up because of the higher concentrations of it in the fuel we're getting and it can clog this stuff up eventually. I did this recently because of the same issues and it fixed it. Otherwise a new canister can be $400-$600 (or take the chance of buying a used one that may not be in much better shape than the one you have).

Kyoso.... what year 100 was this on? Just wondering if we've got the came CC. Anything else to look for?

Mine's a '98 so it's different. Mine is in the engine bay, on yours I think it's back near the tank somewhere. I'm sure the concept would be the same though.

03+ is under the spare tire. I'm gonna pull it and have a look around. I'm pretty sure the 03 and newer is a different design and shape too. If I can, I'll try what you did and see if it works before spending the $330 on a new one.
