Gas peddle help

I havent not dont this yet but I have the old cable type peddle and plan on installing a new style with the linkage. Do I to cut the fire wall? If so how do I know where to cut it. Does the new peddle use the same bolt holes the old one used, any advise is welcome, thanks

No, the old cable pedal and new mechanical linkage pedal do not use the same mounting holes....you will have to eyeball it, or have someone post up some pictures and measurements so you can get it 'close'.


You will then need to figure out where to mount the pivot on the firewall for the lateral link between the throttle pedal and the carb linkage...
