I just bought a 62' and I am getting 13!! A big difference from my old car, a Jetta, but I don't mind. I heard a K&N filter might help? I also think I need to get a new muffler.

I get the "average" 10/11mpg and have 32s. I don't think that's completely correct though. I need to take her for a long haul on the highway so I can percisely measure the mile markers. I think I get more, but don't pay enough attention.
I'm gonna put the truck in the back yard for a while and do a semi-restore. Hopefully get a bunch more outta her. Gotta find me a nice 80 to DD first.
I've got a K&N, but I'm contemplating balling it and using the OEM since I'm gettin' more into the routine of my baby's maintenance. The K&N is nice. And it works better dirty.
