Looking to put one of the exhaust ports in the garage door to vent motors thru .. anyone had experiences?
Just get the crushless hose kit and call it good?
How well do they attach to the exhaust pipe?
Anything else i need to worry about? Not gonna run anything bigger than a 350 single exahust so Huge isn't a concern. Am thinking about running a port on each side of the bay tho.. My garage is about 3 car lengths long on one side.. Single depth on other (girlfriends side). Most of the time the project is WAY in the back so the other port would go thru the eaves of the house not the garage door. Or should I just get longer hose to run to the one port in the door?

Normally working on a daily driver 4 cylinder, Cruiser 6 cylinder motors and have my Fj62 with the 350..

all advice appreciated.

I've never built one of these, but if I did I'd spend a few extra $ and put a small powered fan at the junction with the house to pull the exhaust gasses through the hose. Just a little extra safety.

I have some aluminum exhaust port doors in the shop. I have many different sizes.

These attach to rubber hose so you can vent the exhaust to the outside.

We tried this during Apparatus Engineer training: 3 sticks of hard suction hose from exhaust to outside door and a PPV. By the afternoon we had to keep water flowing over the hose b/c the inside was melting.

that's exactly the kit I was looking at myself, curious how well they attach to the exhaust on the vehicle, guess i'll find out soon enough.

our exhaust extraction system(s) work through either a clamp on the exhaust pipe or magnets that holds the suction hose to the body and pipe.
