Gamiviti has been making products for the 'mud community and beyond since 2009... with a full suite of roof racks originally developed around 2012, designs we continue to tweak and innovate even today. A lot of this info is on the forum here in multiple places, some of it's spot on, a few misconceptions, some old info... I have been asked multiple times why don't you have a thread in the Vendor's section... so here goes.
image00001.jpeg

Start with some key features true for all Gamiviti racks...
- steel. 1" OD round tubing, laser cut plates, light tabs, gussets, internally sleeved butt joints.
- not heavy. Most racks weigh about 55 pounds (Essential Expo, for example). some can weigh less (flat racks) and some can weigh more (added grid flooring, added sunroof insert, etc.)
- Low profile. Most of our racks have about a 1" gap between the cross bars and the roof... some (60 series) are even lower. Also our racks are wider than most, and the only rack to offer our perimeter grab handle, aka drop down Expo bar. Which makes this rack a very inviting and useful upgrade you'll use daily.
- expensive to ship. No joke- it's a big welded rack that needs to be put inside a wooden crate, then shipped LTL. For some folks it's a one-time hit that's worth it to get the rack you want. For others it's an excuse to come to Denver, Colorado for free installation assistance, a few hit me up to have racks delivered to events. yes I do this for free, ih8shipping.

Racks we make...
-
every Toyota Land Cruiser. FJ/BJ40, 43, 45... 60/61/62, 70, 75, 80, 100, 200, and coming soon 250. that's model years 1963 or so through today, with few exceptions, if it says Land Cruiser on it we've likely made a rack for it.
- Lexus GX470, GX460, LX450, LX470, and LX570's through 2015. GX550 coming soon.
- 3rd, 4th, and 5th gen 4Runners. also Tacoma, Tundra, 1st gen Sequoia, Rav4, even Sienna. oh and civilian spec Mega Cruisers.
and we've done others also (Montero, Delica..) always open to a new project, helps if you're local.

Racks we stock...
- Essential Expo racks...which is the term I created for the "all the features you need" configuration. This configuration was based on what became the most common custom rack, so we standardized it to reduce lead times. All the other customizations are available, just not made ahead of time.

On the 100 series this is a full flat rack, tapered Expo++ bar, sunroof opening, side gussets, 4 plates/mounting towers per side, powder coated, snap-on wind fairing, sized specifically for the 100 series Land Cruiser and Lexus LX470.

On the 200 series it's also a full flat rack, tapered Expo++ bar, sunroof opening, side gussets, 4 plates/mounting towers per side, powder coated, snap-on wind fairing, sized specifically for the 200 series Land Cruiser and Lexus LX570. Note if you have a later model 570 (2016+) this isn't an easy bolt-up, as your roof rails are different.

200.jpg

GX460 Essential Expo racks are also full length flat racks, tapered Expo++ bar, side gussets, light tabs, 3 plates and mounting towers per side, powder coated, snap-on wind fairing.

The 60 series Essential Expo rack is a little different, as it has a short Expo Up bar in front, tapered back for a snap-on fairing, sitting on top of a full length flat rack with 4 plates, 4 rain gutter towers, light tabs in back.

here's a video that explains most of the key features of the Essential Expo rack for the 100, 200, GX, 4runner, etc.

We also make original roof rack accessories, enabling you to bolt just about anything you need to your rack. These include grid panels, traction board mounts, Pull Pall mounts, cases, and rack receivers, the original quick-release awning bracket.

Just about every accessory has a video to it.. .found on our youtube channel as well as website: Products — Gamiviti - https://www.gamiviti.com/products

We're also a dealer for most of the main accessory brands out there, including Action Trax, Rotopax, and awnings from OVS, Rhino, and Ironman4x4. When it makes sense, we can put together a full package of accessories with your rack. Or you may have some of this already, or can get it elsewhere... just know that yes, good chance you'll be able to mount that accessory to your roof rack.

Something a lot of folks don't know is that we also sell "just towers" for folks needing to mount some other rack or tower to their truck, building up a cross bar system, or even making their own rack. That's how this business started, so it continues to be a value-add even today. Our rain gutter towers come in 3 heights, making them compatible for multiple vehicles from the FJ40 through 80 series, even vans, Land Rovers, G Wagons, and other vehicles equipped with rain gutters.

Our roof channel towers have a universal base, allowing them to bolt to all of the 1998 and newer Land Cruiser/LX models, 4Runners, GX, Tacoma, and 250 series. This is also what we use when we add towers to vehicles that don't already have holes, like Tundras.

We also have a track base for truck topper racks, trailers, or other applications where you want to bolt these to a more flat surface.

And we also now offer complete cross bar systems, for most common Toyota/Lexus vehicle applications. Basically a set of towers, extruded aluminum cross bars, hardware, end caps, all you need to upgrade to a set of cross bars, as either an alternative to adding a full rack, or a bridge between stock and full rack- as the towers and cross bars can later be used on your full rack as well. Again, see the videos and more info on the website.

Of course we sell all the hardware separately also, including our own 80 series rack delete kit. Just too much to put into a thread.

Hi there. I am very interested in your roof racks for my 100 Series Land Cruiser. Do you have any high resolution photos of the 100 series expo++ rack with no taper no gussets? Also is the wind fairing is optional on all your racks? Thank you.

This was the only photo I could see on your website. It looks nice from the side but would you have a high-res front shot and top shot? Thank you!

Couple product updates for exterior solutions...

I spent some time laying out all of our awning bracket options on the website. It's ugly, but a big step forward from what was before... you can see the break down here: awning brackets — Gamiviti - https://www.gamiviti.com/awning-brackets Essentially trying to solve how to mount awnings, shower enclosures, rod cases, etc. to multiple racks including OEM rails, aftermarket cross bars, and other aftermarket roof racks. It's confusing, and I actually have a new one coming out in about 4 weeks... but we'll deal with that when they're in stock.

Second update, and a likely more exciting one, is that we're getting more pictures and detail on the new 250 series Land Cruiser and GX550 racks. All of that can be found here: 250 racks — Gamiviti - https://www.gamiviti.com/250-racks

I'll toss up a pic :)

PM or email or call or post up any questions, thanks!

Couple new products for 2025, both for stock rack upgrades. first is our latest and greatest awning bracket solution, called the Miti Bracket, you can see more and watch the video here: Miti Brackets — Gamiviti - https://www.gamiviti.com/miti-brackets

1739221384150.png

pictured above on a 5th gen 4Runner, these also fit 4th Gen 4Runner, GX470, LX470, LX570 (2013 and older), LX450, Sienna, Sequoia, and of course Land Cruiser 1993-2007. One pair allows to you to add any small/medium awning to your OEM rack, up to and including Batwing, Ironman Deltawing, even OVS LT awnings.

Second one is called the Wing Bracket, a new solution for adding 1x2 t-slot extrusions across any factory rack mentioned above, or adding accessories on top of those same extrusions on any cross bar or roof rack that uses them. Pictures, video, all found here: wing brackets — Gamiviti - https://www.gamiviti.com/wing-brackets

IMG_2897.jpg

As you can see in the pic it will bolt to either the sides or bottom of the extrusion cross bar, or both, then interfaces into the OEM rail slot using channel nuts, similar to our other products for these including the Multi Bracket and Accessory Angle Bracket. so many brackets.... just let me know your questions!

does anyone have 3 of the cross bars on a 100 series that can speak to the height of them off the roof? I had the Eezi Awn K9 roof bars on my last cruiser but would love if I had something that sat a bit lower.

I'll be mounting an Autohome roof tent to them.

I could get pics and measurements of that setup off a sequoia if that helps. I know...it's a long shot but if it helps...

and I have my gamiviti rack and towers pretty dang low. I can measure in a day or two (traveling right now)

@riffman12 Good timing- we just released a new version of our roof channel towers called the "shorty" version... the height difference is 1.25" compared to the standard ones. So per the technical term above they now come in "pretty dang low" and "really dang low" height options. I put up a gallery on the web page that shows the height differences.... remember all the numbers you see will be from inside the bottom of your roof channel as the datum point, so figure subtract about another inch to get a number in the middle of the roof.

What I don't have (yet) are a bunch of install photos but that will come in time, as will a video to better explain. The ideal scenario though for a 3-bar system would be run 4 of our standard towers, 2 front 2 back, then 2 of the shorty towers in the middle... you'll be able to get all 3 dialed in at the same plane and this will be a super low setup. I added this option to the site calling it a Roof Channel Towers - shorty combo.

And I'm releasing this one with a bunch of hesitation... tbh I've had these in stock for a while just haven't made them public as it could add a big layer of confusion. Obviously there's interest in the product, so something folks want, but the risk here is no longer can anyone say something definitive about the height of Gamiviti towers, as now there are two options so which one are you even referring to. Also one of the key benefits to our towers (IMO) is how they allow folks to start out with just a cross bar setup, then later transition to a full roof rack, hopefully a Gamiviti rack. But now these shorty towers would lead to an interference with our expo down racks, like the Essential Expo- the side grab handles could literally sit on top of the roof over the doors. Also some accessories could be more of a challenge, for example we've been dialing in the height of the rack receivers for over 10 years now, getting it so you can run the rack side underneath the roof rack, putting the awning to the side and just high enough to still clear the back doors... here's an example with an Ironman Deltawing awning...

IMG_2591.webp

and a much cooler photo of a 60, just to better show the awning position...
60_lockhart.webp

But now the potential exists where someone builds out a rack using these new shorty towers, and then they want the advantages of putting the awning mounts below the rack so the top stays clean for their tent, or home depot runs, or whatever... but the awning now hits the door. And then it's my fault for the rack being to low...
:banghead:

I probably over think this stuff, and I guess the 40/60/80 crowd has been able to handle this with 3 height options on the rain gutter tower risers, so maybe I should give the newer vehicle group some credit... as the saying goes, at some point you need to shoot the engineer and release the product. I'm sure the language on the website will continue to be a work in progress here. As always, let me know your questions folks thanks.
