Wanted FZJ80 Triple Locked

Looking to get my first Land Cruiser. Wanting an FZJ80, prefer it be locked, and around the $8k price range.

I live in Tennessee so would prefer somewhere close to this area.. but wouldn't be opposed to flying out west and driving back if it's worth it. This will be an overlanding rig so it needs to be in good shape and lower miles the better.

My definition of "good shape" doesn't mean perfect at all. I'm fine with dings, scratches, etc... just don't want one with the doors barely hanging on.

You should buy this one, have it shipped to you sight unseen, have the engine rebuilt (or replaced) ... which will get you another 200k miles out of it.... and you will be all in for under 8k on a low milage 3x lockered in black....

Actually found one locally today at a used car dealership . It’s a 1994 with 284k miles on it. Drove great, no obvious leaks and cosmetically it’s almost perfect. I know previous owners.. old couple that sure as hell never went off roading. No lockers tho...

Asking $5,995 but I think I can get it for $4,500.

Congratulations! Now you can drop up to $2k on ARB lockers and have left over for the build . That's the way a 20 yr old FZJ80 is supposed to be priced. RATIONALLY.
