FZJ80 parts needed

The '97 LX450 I had, I was able to get the complete records from Lexus (back when they would do that for you), it showed the antenna having been replaced 3 times in 80k miles by Lexus. It broke again at 96k.
My '96 FZJ 80 broke shortly after I got it (no telling how many it went through), so my advise would be to not look too hard.
You will be replacing it again and again and again.
As far as the factory roof rack, those were "port" installed items and they suck. They were installed once they hit the US and the holes were drilled in the roof, nutserts were installed and then the rack was screwed on. My '96 spent it's whole life in Phoenix, AZ, and the screws were rusted into the nutserts. Again, avoid it at all costs and be glad you don't have the holes in your roof.
I know it is cool to use the stock stuff, but those roof racks aren't factory and are pretty much worthless anyway. Hope you aren't trying to "fix" one you already have.
Sorry to be a downer about that stuff, but you can do better with other options.

I really appreciate the advise. Do you have any suggestions on a replacement antenna? I was looking at the one on my 02 Taco and thought it looked like it may even work. Also, I was thinking of repairing the stock roof rack but again I appreciate the information and again sure would appreciate any suggestions. I did break off the anteanna and the roof rack both on the same trail on the same day so I sure do see what you mean.
I might be removing my stock roof rack in the near future for what its worth... I have some ideas up my sleeve to get rid of the holes. If i do remove it you can have mine.

Thanks, I appreciate that and would certainly take you up on the offer. I am not against spending the money to buy a new roof rack and I have looked at ARB and a couple others. I also have to figure out how to deal with the holes in the roof if I upgrade.
There was a thread here on mud about an aftermarket antenna that actually lasted. I cant find it right now, Will look some more if i find it will post the link.

mine still works.... 
it will probably break in a day or two now... oh well, thats why I have satilite radio! I need to replace the speakers in the truck, but havent decided what to go with. To many people recommending different speakers!
