Wanted FZJ80, Near San Diego, <$6,500. Ready to buy now!

Hi Folks,

Just got rear-ended last week, so I'm in the market for a new car, like, now. Been looking at the 80-series land cruisers for a while now, so I guess it's time to pull the trigger.

Given more time, I would be kinda picky, but considering the circumstances I don't much care if it has lockers or if it's an LX450 (I slightly prefer the LX450). I strongly prefer a truck with airbags so probably only looking at 95-97...

I don't expect to get an amazing deal off the forum, but I expect you folks handle your maintenance a little more rigorously than the average owner, so it should all balance out in the end.

I'm in San Diego, pretty much available to drive anywhere in Southern CA, any time, for the right vehicle (further drives == I would want to drive it home immediately).

My rental car reimbursement expires in a week, so let's do this!

Note on price:

Cheaper is better. I'm willing to take a slightly higher mileage, slightly less-nice vehicle for the right price. Preference is actually in the $4,500-$5,000 range, but I can go as high as $6,500 for the right truck.

Thanks but... I literally just bought one! I happened upon a good deal on a '97 LX450 and jumped on it. I've literally only been in the market for about a week, so, I got very lucky... Well, hopefully. Time will tell
