I test drove it, I couldn't tell if it was running weak or just badly needed to be regeared. Very slow to downshift compared to the others I test drove that week. Interior is very rough, but it does have all the goodies, working lockers, etc.

Are you looking to buy one? If so, test drive mine and get a baseline what a well maintained 80 feels like.

Send me a PM if you want to meet up.

Thanks! I picked up a '96 at 210k just before Christmas. I had been considering this one for months, but I test drove everything I could get a call back on first, including an insanely priced but low miles stock LX at a used car dealership and the built one you mentioned. I needed something in better interior condition than that one off of CL. Not knocking the LX on CL, he had it built up nice, but it was very slow to downshift which worried me a bit and was more heavily built than what I needed.

he lowered it to 7500 its not a bad deal even if it needs a trans...

Man that's EXACTLY what I was looking for when I went searching for an 80; LX450 built with lockers.
Got a '97 40th from a dealer instead, no lockers. Still really happy was searching for a few months, mine is real nice.
If I had the spare change I'd probably get this one and swap mine out, it'll cost me near that much to do all the mods I want!

Whoever gets it should be very happy.

Could be the gearing, mine changed a bit when I went to 33's. I don't mind the higher gearing, though if I had that much extra weight I'd probably re-gear.

Did you get the one at the Acura dealer?
