So - i recently scouped up an Fzj-80 with 154k on the clock for $350 ! 
and i was looking at the wheelbase of the swb 45 which is 104"ish and comparing it to the 80s 112".
At 6'4 i dont think the shortcab of the 45 is gonna work for me anyway----so i was thinking about adding a cool 8" to the cab and pushing the swb bed back to line up the wheelwells with the 80axle.
other than wiring
which is gonna suk.... i read that the 80 engine is 5inches forward of the axle compared to the 40s/45s. Any other major issues that people see in simply dropping the 45cab and bed right onto the 80 with relocated body mounts?
As to the width issue--i probably would be running skinny tires and looking to clip a few inches in backspacing on each side.
