why is there made a hole in this hose ?

the pictures show the hole in the line and where the 2 ends of the line connect to the engine;

Does the hose plug into the manifold or the venturi?

My guess it that it should have some kind of valve attached. I cant see why it would be open.

it plugs into the thing connected to the intake manifold where the trottle cable is also connected to (learnd now thats a ventury THANKS !:))

Maybe they thought it would use less diesel that way ? becouse it sucks not so much vacuum with that hole ?

anyways tommorow ill try to close the hole and drive a bit see if theres a diffrence:steer::beer:

There is a part called the "pin,throttle valve shaft" see the pic

anyway i pulled a plastic tireripp around the hole and gonna check if the car drives different now:wrench::steer:

It looks as though your delivery valves on your injection pump may be loose judging from your pictures.

Yea I would agree with Radd. Looks like #4 is the worst. These things are a pain. My sometimes leak when the weather changes, and then stop. You can tighten them up, but dont overdo it. you have to crack the injector lines, its actually easiest to just remove them, a lot less cursing involved.... and then loosen both retainers and tighten them one by one. Maybe loosen off off an re-tourque? thats what i do.
I would spray the area with brakleen, and wipe it down before you start. Dont wanna drop any dirt in there.
As for the gaskets, I have all four brand new ones sitting in my console. After I found out how to replace them, I really didnt feel like taking my pump apart....:rolleyes:

As for your hose, Id grab your self a piece of pipe the same length and size as what has the hole in it, and replace it. Shouldnt be there. Someone has obviously cut the hose and put that there.. I dunno what that would be for....

So if i understand right the best way to do it right is;

1; remove injector lines from delivery valves

2; loosen up the delivery valves(21 metric size)

3; take my torq wrench set it to 37nm and torque down the delivery valves

4; connect the ijector lines ( the way like the 3b engine manual page FU-64 prescribes wich i dont under stand what they mean ill have to do)

Is that right ?

You betcha.

When you go to reconnect the lines, loosen off the injector ends as well, dont remove them, just loose, so you can move them around a bit. Makes it a bit easier to get the pump ends back in. I usually pull the nut back so i can see the end and make sure it's centered on the delivery valve seat, push down on the line to keep it there and finger tighten the nut and then torque it. Very similar to brake lines as you have to wiggle them a bit to get the nut to thread on. repeat for all 4 and then tighten the injector ends.

You will have to bleed all your lines afterward as well. crack #1 injector line at the injector and crank it over till you see fuel squirt out. Just barely crack it so its not tight, dont remove it. there will be bubbles so wait till theyre gone and retighten. Sometimes its easier with someone sitting in the truck so you can watch it yourself.
once you do #1 and #2 you can start it and itll run like carp. crack number 3 and number 4 one at a time till no bubbles appear, just fuel.
Then I usually let it idle and crack them all again one at a time to be sure all air is gone.

Let me know if I missed something...

cheers and watch your eyes. :D :cool:

wow thats a serieus brain operation ! i cleaned the injector pump yesterday evening and toek it for a ride this morning.

now i dont see any leaks so can i just leave them like this ?

If you don't mind a silly question, how did you clean your injector pump and lines? From the pictures, you made a tremendous difference with your cleaning. Looks great.

Clit Bang?? Sounds like a Tarantino porn flick......lol

ANYWAYS,

Looks good. I'd keep a periodic eye on it, just watch for seepage. As i mentioned, mine does it periodically, but also hasnt leaked for a long time.
Just make sure you put those two clamp doo-dads back on. Keeps them from rattling loose.

Did you end up plugging your hole in the hose up for good?

Oh CILIT bang, my bad.
