Since most Land Cruisers I sell are shipped-out and I rarely meet my customers, My intern and I put a full delivery/features video together. I’m sure it’s not perfect, but we got the brunt of important stuff. Also helpful if you bought one from another store that may not sell too many, you may pick up something useful in the video.

"Edit it so it fits in a 10 minute block..."

.....

Ends up being a 42 minute video.

Seriously this is great for all 200 series owners. Thanks for putting this together.

Great video! Please don't change a thing!!! :)

I wish the dealer from whom I bought my LC had gone over all this! I learned my LC's features from reading the user's manual and from this forum.
But I'm not sure the dealer could have pulled this off. I got the distinct impression that the dealer didn't know squat about my Land Cruiser.

Great video. I am on a third LC since the first being 2016. Not a single sales person was able to even cover half of the options. Last one didn't even know why the lift gate is not working. Told him we can skip his demo.
Three new things for me. Looks like I have been removing hitch cover incorrectly for 5 years (unhooking from bottom with help of screwdriver), didn't know there is cargo strap in the bottom of 2nd row seat and didn't have text notification adjustment on iPhone on.

Nice job Eric.

Also learned a few new things. Interesting choice by the owner on the body color moldings on the 2021. Love the comment on the fuel economy customization screen ;) I don't even look anymore.

Eric,
Great video, thank you for sharing it.
Have you considered selling your paint matched trim pieces on special order to those who may already have a LC but weren't smart enough to buy it from you?
Also, have you thought about maybe working in partnership with Arctic Trucks in the U.S?
Seems no one in the US has partnered with them and outside of your trucks, they make the best looking LC modified trucks I've seen.

Definitely didn't know about stowing the third row center headrest, I'll put mine in there tomorrow. I appreciate the reminder on how to switch on pushing text messages as well, hopefully that works in the GX too.

Thanks for this. Suspect this is a fairly common issue. Just got my ‘21, and the sales advisor, while very nice, knew nothing about the car really.

@Eric Sarjeant I have the same Q, would you be able to sell paint matched body molding, fogs, grills and window trim? Basically mail order chrome delete packages!

Thanks for the videos and all you continue to do for the community!

Yeah, we could definitely do that. Logistically may be hard for the end-user to remove all the pieces, but it that’s possible, we could absolutely paint and return.

How about a prepay situation where the items are ordered and then painted versus removal by the end user, then send to you and then you return to end user?
The end user would then remove and install or take to local dealer for installation?
Perhaps you could ball park the cost?
Perhaps cost of removal and mailing versus buying said parts new and having paint done and mailed to end user.

2nd this idea. Count me as interested. Ballpark costs? @Eric Sarjeant

Thank you for doing this! I had absolutely no pre delivery when I bought mine thanks to Covid. Learned a few things from this.

Thanks and nice job on the video, @Eric Sarjeant. I've been watching it in bits and pieces when I have a few minutes free and just finished the infotainment section. One thing you mentioned was that when on the radio screen it times out and goes back to the navigation screen after ~30 seconds and there's no way to change that. There actually is - go to Settings > General > Auto Screen Change and set that to off (ironically, it's one of the few settings you didn't discuss in the video). It was one of the things that really annoyed me at first, so I dug through the settings and figured that out. Now that I've installed an aftermarket Android unit, most of the factory infotainment stuff doesn't get used much.

Thanks Greg! I did not know that, I feel kinda dumb now on my 4th 200 and not knowing that.

It's Geoff, actually, but no way to know that from my username :). I was actually surprised that I was actually able to show you something new since I'm on my 1st 200 and don't see quite as many as you do :), but this is all about helping each other out. Even though your dealership isn't local to me, I seriously considered buying my LC from you but my MB G63 trade in probably would have been fairly complicated to handle and I really didn't want to travel any more than absolutely necessary during the pandemic back in June. Your contributions to this forum are greatly appreciated.
