fuel sock (2 Viewers)

Would like to install a fuel sock on my 82 FJ40, any recommendations /part # please? Rig is bucking at highway speeds so starting with the pickup line, new fuel filter, & manual fuel pump(since it's pretty old). Thanks to all!

there are very good chances that the pickup tube is corroded, and that could be your issue

you maybe able to use one from a diesel 60 series which came stock with a sock, the 40 series didn't as far as I know.

you will need to drop the tank to get to the pickup assembly
