i have an 08 LC and was wondering if there is access to the fuel pump inside the cabin? Also if not if, is it possible to cut an access panel in my floor board so I don’t have to drop the tank? Been having some issues and the last possible solution I believe is a fuel pump change out.
This all started with the LC starting but immediately stalling. Tried battery, was good, I did install some aux lights which were tapped into my switch panel on the ignition fuse to run some Dre’s. Also did get a new battery too. Ended up unplugging the switch panel and aux lights eventually and she cranks and stays started now however I turned up some lean codes in bank 1 and 2. It does take about 10-12 min of driving to throw the codes. The only symptoms I get are rpm surging when my foot is off the gas. I do pretty much have the rpm surging immediately running the truck and letting off the gas however it doesn’t throw the codes until the truck has been running for a while. I have changed out my pcv and hose also now and was thinking of doing the upstream o2 sensors but didn’t want to if it won’t solve this problem. I’m kind of at wits end and fuel pump isn’t out of my technical experience I just didn’t want to drop the tank if there’s a shade tree mechanic way to access the pump.
Any thoughts or suggestions?
