fuel efficiency best for DD???

hey guys quick run down my dad wants the best fuel efficiency hes got 2 motors in his head tell me what you guys think what would be best??

6.0 Vortec (escalade) with stock 4 speed or can choice with nv4500

5.3 Vortec (from silverado) with nv4500

Since it's smaller, I would bet that his best mileage is going to come with the 5.3 mated to the NV4500. He certainly wouldn't be short for power with a 5.3 either.

I'd go with a 4BT over either of those though
