I'm dropping a late model EGR [deleted] and VNT-equipped 1HD-FTE into my LX450. This FTE variant is equipped with a MAF sensor on the 100-series airbox. I hope to modify/adapt a 1HDT assembly since the 100-series airbox is plastic and [I'd imagine] it would be more complicated to get mounted in the 80.

So, this engine requires a MAF sensor which on the 100-series is incorporated on the factory airbox lid. I need to find a way to adapt the MAF sensor and am looking for help figuring out how to best make this happen. I have found several types of universal MAF adapters on eBay. I bought this one but it doesn't fit the Toyota MAF meter assembly:

For those of you who are running a late VNT-equipped FTE, how did you incorporate the MAF? Has anyone else has had luck finding a MAF adapter tube that will work with the FTE meter assembly?
