Its a pity you guys don't have turbo diesels, I would certainly buy at that price, the manuals in OZ for the TD 100 series run into AU$1300!!!!

That's a great price for our model which is why I posted it. Someone should grab it!
Go easy folks, leave it for me, I've asked for a postage price to OZ, at least I will get some info on the auto transmissionand other bits!

Other than the obvious cosmetics, how much difference mechnically between 2000 > 2002 vs. 2003 > ?

Check Christo's 100 Series guide:

Biggest difference I can think of right now is the 5-speed transmission on the 2003+ versus the 4-speed in earlier models.

For us in OZ, the 5 speed auto, instruments and lots of electrical wiring changes, connectors, wiring colour, ECU's etc. , postage for me is US$65 by air or US$35 snail mail, not sure which way to go.

Go snail. With the way the post office runs now it'll probably get there pretty quickly. It will still go on an airplane. There are very few "slow boats" anymore.

I might look into the $10 download electronic manual first and see what its got in it, would it be exactly the same as these? That way I can ascertain if it is suitable for me and to see if it suits my 03 100 TD before I shell out the $100 plus postage, then all I would need to buy in OZ is an engine manual for the 1HD-FTE engine

Not much time left on this FSM... Great price fella's, I was quoted a discount price of $175 for the 98-02...

I just received the Max Ellery Toyota Landcruiser 1990-2002 Petrol repair manual for about $14 on Amazon... They also make one for the diesel.

Covers the 3F, 3F-E, 1FZ-F, 1FZ-FE, and 2UZ-FE. Granted, doesn't compare to the FSM, but it was CHEAP!

Heck, well worth my pocket change lol.

I've got the Max Ellery's EP.T018 Toyota Landcruiser 1990 -2002 Diesel manual, but the problem is it does not have the 2003 changes such as the 5 speed auto, wiring harness changes(what I really want) and the wiring diagrams are very poor incomparison to Toyotas, only problem is Toyota Australia want and arm and a leg for them!! I'm hoping I can decifer enough out of a USA manual if the wiring is the same(excepting the engine of course).

folks, at the risk of bursting the bubble: don't buy an 05 manual if you have an 03 etc.

There are always differences, probably enough to aggravate you, and too much to justify a small difference in price. Now if you can get an 05 manual for $10 I'd say go for it, but to save a few bucks, it's not worth it.

Worse, the differences may be subtle enough that may not realize it right away. I wasted several hours once trying to figure out an apparent inconsistency in an electrical circuit until I realized that I was using the wrong year diagram (02 or 04 for an 03).
