I have a friend who can do it with his stock 97, he drives like a freaking grandma. He drives with a scan gauge hooked up all the time and he monitors it to get the best MPGs. Oh and he lives out east where the max speed limit is only 55.

My old 94 would get 16 in town and 18 on the highway. Once I built it, it got about 12.

It can happen, not typical but it is possible.
