Here's a first for me...

Stopped at the gas pump, pulled the "open gas door" lever and went to the pump. Gas door closed. D'oh. Went to the car again, pulled the lever again. Gas door still closed. Pried it a bit and it came open. Tried turning the actual round cap, and that's frozen too! Managed to get it open, but it was frustrating.

I'm guessing snow got inside the door through the openings around it, melted, and then froze. First time this has happened to me on any vehicle.

Are there any remedies to prevent this in the future? Perhaps a seal around the gas door, or some grease in strategic places?

Wild.

Maybe the fuel door spring broken too.
