How do the sway bar bushings (on the axle end) get removed and installed? I looked for nearly an hour and haven't found so much as a clue. I know a lot of bushings like these have to be pressed in and out, but do these?

Have you looked under your truck? Sway bar bushings take 10 min to replace no pressing just unbolt and replace. Most go with OEM but these work fine also.

By god man!
Glad you got it! 😂

"10 minutes" my ass...

First, I found the PO had installed poly bushing, and appeared to glue them in. I had to completely remove the bar to put it in a vice to mash them out with a pitman arm puller, and then there's no amount of oil that will make the new Toyota replacements deform enough to go in. They're 22mm OD and the hole is 16mm. Are there different sizes?

Did you remove the center metal bushing/spacer first? My stock rubber ones came out easy. Only install the metal bushing/spcer after installing the rubber into the swaybar. Apologies if you already knew this.

Yes, the old poly ones are out. Its driving the new factory rubber replacements in that I was struggling with.

I took it to the owner of Precision Land Cruisers, who immediately saw the problem... it's an aftermarket bar the PO never told me I had. I'll hopefully be able to reach him for more details.

I guess it depends on the final weight you plan on running your rig at. You could always keep the rear and change the front one back to factory if you're worried about it limiting articulation. I'm sure Whiteline sells replacement bushings.

That would be a good option and let's you keep the on road stability.
