Are they 4 and half or 4''? I have the speakers in the dash not the door.

the dash are 2.5" drivers.
I also had door speakers, those were 4.5s if I remember correctly.
FWIW I replaced the in dash with CB external speakers and replaced in doors with nice Eclipse speakers.

i have no door speakers either on my '91 -- according to c-dan, that makes our '91's SUPER-rare!

Put in a new dash unit and had it hooked to all the speakers (9). The sub in the back didn't like the set up and kept blowing the fuse so I disconnected that from the system. Put in Sony three way 6.5 Explodes in the front doors, fit right in in place of the stock and Sony Explodes two way 5.25 for the bass in the rear. Had to cut and bend to get them in and they just clear the window. Still have the two in the roof for the third row seats. Sounds quite nice and I really don't need the sub in the back for the bass as the 5.25s have plenty. sorry bout the hijack.

How do you hookup the front door speakers to the dash speakers?
The PO hooked up the front door to the front output and the rear door to the rear output. All are stock speakers. The deck is a Sony.
I have an amp I can/will install someday but I think I would need to replace the speakers first???

I measured the front they were 4x4 wewt
I'm thinkin Pioneer speakers in the front and stocks in the back for now.
The stock door speakers I took out were 4.5". The opening in the metal door pannel is about 3" and the max depth from the front of the cloth door pannel to the window channel is 2". I mounted all my speakers on the outside of the cloth door pannel and had to cut and trim the rears to fit.
