Has anyone with a front runner rack and an AluCab Gen 3-R managed to find the source of the whistle on the front end?

I’ve taped every seam, every gap, literally anything that might be the source and can’t find it for the life of me.

I’m ready to set this POS on fire just for the satisfaction of watching it burn at this point.

Not apples to apples, I've got a eezi-awn rack with autohome columbus..

Drove home from Boulder CO with the tent and ended up using painters tape for the drive due to a front end whistle lol..
(The gap just above the rack, and just below the front edge of the autohome was my issue)

Once home I found a 3m type black, stick on marine weatherstripping at lowes. It was about 1.5 inches wide in a roll.

I stuck that across the top front of my rack, and sandwiched the tent over the strip before securing..

Can't even see that it's there, and completely silent now.. worked perfectly..

Just one idea, good luck!

I have an alucab 3R on a front runner roof rack on my 21’ LX570 and have absolutely zero whistle at any speed. I also have a alucab 270 awning, light bars + bunch lights, and a shovel mounted on the rack as well. It was all installed by OK4WD, but happy to send reference photos of any area if needed.

I have the same awning on mine as well. I had mine installed by Mule Expedition Outfitters and they installed It pretty far forward to clear the rear spoiler, which is causing the Front Runner wind fairing to direct wind straight under the tent. Is your installed the same way?

I'm wondering if I could remove the wind fairing to solve it - hadn't tried that yet.

What wind fairing are you using? The one that comes with the rack, or the larger one that is sold separately?

Finally got the tent quiet! I put t-slot rubber in every seam, took off the wind fairing, and put aluminum tubing and rubber foam into the gaps in the front. That quieted it down so the whistle is gone.

I’m glad it’s finally quiet, but I’m probably a little more agitated than I should be by having to stuff rubber foam into the gaps considering what these things go for. But whatever - at least I’m not twitching and on a hair trigger every time I get out of my truck anymore.

Edit to add - sorry about the nasty scar pic! I had carpal tunnel surgery about 3 weeks ago and have a few layers of liquid bandage on the incision sites that haven’t fully closed.
