Just put a set of 285/70/17 Yokohama geolanders on the troopy. Stoked on em but the front drivers side tyre rubs on the leaf spring when I turn right. Doesn't happen when I full lock left, could this be a sign of a bigger problem than tyres not fitting?

The tyres on it before were 285/75/16 and no rubbing so in theory should still be sweet.

Worried it might be an issue with leaf springs being misaligned, anyone else had this problem?

I have a 1998 75 series Troopy

@etdawg wonder if your steering stops on the axle aren’t set right or are different.

It’s on each side front and rear of axle. Just adjust them out a little to stop it from rubbing. Match sides so that your turning radius matches both ways.

Worst case you lose a little turning radius, which on a troopy means instead of 18 point u-turns, you are up to 20.

Hello,

Some mechanics put a rubber cushion over the stops to reduce the rubbing without adjusting them. It reduces turning radius a little, but it helps.
