I've got the bezel for sure, but am not too sure how integral that plastic handle piece is to the rest of the opening mechanism. I'll take a look. Guessing @scrapdaddy might have a clue on this one, as it seems like he spent an inordinate amount of time on little door pieces;)

the plastic piece that is behind the door card is very integral, it allows the handle to pivot and for proper operation. The bezel is for aesthetics. But I'd like both.

thanks

That's different than the earlier models. Mine are alum. and I'm not sure what plastic piece you're talking about.

The big piece holding the spring and handle or the small piece holding the rod. I have plenty of the small push in piece, but the large pieces are hard to come by.

Sorry, I was talking about this piece being alum. You're right about the big plastic piece, it is brittle. I broke one taking it apart to plate the spring.

Does it have to be the front passenger door handle to repair yours, or could it be from a diff door? I've got the panels off the rear doors on my parts rig is why I'm asking. Once it's light, I'll poke my head in and see what I got.

I'm thinking it can be from the rear (passenger) door as well.

This afternoon, I will be investigating.

Thanks

Sorry I didn't get back to this. The big plastic piece is the same on all the doors, but the rods that are connected to them, are not. Switching the rods can be done, but a pain and you'll need a new small plastic clip to hold the rod in the hole. If you go that route, I have some, I can send you.

Looked this afternoon, and you are correct, the plastic piece is the same.

Broken:

rear door:

Either way I have the part.

You have a part from a front door you'd be willing to get rid of? If you just have the rear door, I'll take it and see if I can get it to work.

Thanks guys.

I swear, the doors on these things will drive someone mad.
