So yesterday I realized my heater isn't working properly. I will turn the know as high as it will go, turn on recirculate, and turn the fan all the way up but it still refuses to blow warm air. The air conditioning is COLD so I'm wondering if the problem is in the knob itself, the heater coil, or something else I'm not aware of. The interesting thing is the rear heat works great and blows very warm air when turned up all the way. Any thoughts?

Had a very similar issue this year and the fix was having the heater core flushed. This might be a simple DIY job but without time or a garage to try it, I paid to have it done. If you need a new heater core prepare for the 4-6 hour labor quote and the part itself.

Recently develop the same symptoms. When the knob is on 75 there is not much hot air coming out. I need to put is on 80~85degree to get hot air .
And it has a burnt smell coming out like burnt wood
Any help? thank you guys

@mgilvan My problem was a servo motor that controls a lever which opens or closes the tubes throughout the air conditioning. This 'gate' allows warm air, cold air, or a slight mixture of both for those in-between temps....at least that is the "dumbed down" version explained to me my my mechanic. Anyhow, I got it replaced and it works fine now.
