front fender triming (1 Viewer)

I am going to run 39.5 IROC's on my 60 series Cruiser which i have cut into a cab chassis, but i would like to know if anyone else has run 39's on a 60 and how much they had to trim from the front gaurd. I would be thankful for any help

This guy is running 38.5's. I don't know how much was cut, but the pic gives you a pretty good idea.

I cut 4" out in front.
I am running a shackle reversal w/SOA OME and 38.5x14.5 and without bumpstops it can rub under full compression.

Thank champs. It had factory flares on it so i was just going to cut around the top of the flare

I'm running 39.5 Iroks on my 60, but it's with full size D60 and 14 bolt. The fronts actually don't rub too much. They clearanced themselves and now the rub is smooth.

Here's a better shot of what and why i cut 4 ".I only cut enough to use the inner fender in it's OEM state and then used 20 ga. to tie it all back together.

Thats about how much i was going to cut but i was going to follow the original lines of the gaurds but yours seem rounded which may be more practicle

Funny how it looks round but I used the stock opening as the guide.I'll take a pic of the cut out.I always wanted reuse the stock "flare" but didn't get around to it.
I used a small adjustable square ,a black marker and the plasma torch.
