front fender spacer can't remember

I did some searching but could not find the answer. Maybe I am remembering wrong.

I thought I read a good while ago that the front fender rubber "spacers" eventually were re-designed with a steel core or backing.
Can someone tell me what those part numbers or model/years are or if such a thing exists?

I have one of my fender spacers sort of leaking out of its proper position.
When I replace it I want it to be a permanent fix.

The rubber piece is still rubber. There is a plastic/metal spacer that goes between the lower and upper fender that the bolts go through

I think that applies to all narrow nose models. I’m not home to find the part number for the plastic/metal washer/spacer things

@Onur said that’s a terrible job to replace those.

the end part of mine is coming out, I’m not messing with it until I get a good reason to dive in.

I should have written that I bought the rubber part indicated in the parts diagram and it is floppy rubber.

I want to take the left fender apart because I have never set eyes on whatever might be within or upon those panels.

The right side fender well had rust, perhaps accelerated by the exhaust system passing through.

It’s not too bad to take the fenders apart if you have strong small hands

I believe this is the plastic/metal piece that goes between the upper and lower fenders where the bolts come through

I am not sure how the idea of a re-designed rubber strip got into my head.
