I have had my gx470 for about 9 months now. It has always had a small rattle on the passenger front wheel. I don't experience any real steering wheel shake.
The brakes are quite new
It has brand new shocks
wiggling the wheel in any direction when off the ground makes no noise
The noise does not go away if the swaybar endlinks are removed
Everything has been torqued up front suspension wise
The only way I can replicate the noise is by tapping the spindle right below the upper balljoint. This leads me to believe this is the problem but, every bad balljoint I have ever heard clunks. Mine sounds like there is a time of bbs strapped to the wheel. The upper control arm can be moved maybe 5mm forward or backwardswhen pried with a screw driver.
Is my culprit the control arm? Thanks
