front dif fluid capacity ?

im tired of googling can some one help me my haynes manual say's the fluid capacity is 2.5 liters around 2.4 quarts i believe but when i drained the front diff yesterday out came over 3 liters of fluid :frown: , so when i refilled it i only put in the haynes specified 2.5 liters , can some one provide me with the correct spec's , a link would be nice too !

Don't measure. Fill until it runs out the fill plug. That is the right amount. Same for the tranny and t-case.

Yup....simply put in the owners manual "If the oil comes to the bottom edge of the hole, the level is correct."
 
Just in my case .. I need to take some special precautions on this issuee, bith 3rd memebers are rotated in my case .. I need to raise the front and rear end on my Toy to proper fill ..
