So I’m replacing all my dash vents with new OEM ones. The center and passenger side vents were easy (just broke them out 30 years of brittlefication. The two to the left and right of the steering wheel is what I’m looking for help with. I see two screws under the lip of the instrument cluster. If I undo those can I get to the vents or do I have to tear into in more detail. Thanks!!

I don't know what year you have, but for my '94 (early style dash), I had to remove the dash console surround and access the vents from behind. There are plastic tab and slot arrangements holding them in from behind. Doing it this way, there is no prying or popping. They come out easily. I ended up repairing mine that had broken pivot point posts with some 3m adhesive left over from another project on my 200 series.
