Hey guys,
I been rebuilding my first 40 and it has been a chore. I got to a point in the build where i need to move the truck so i bolted up the fenders and front clip. Well when i put the hood on and saw how everything alligned i had to crack another beer open and take a seat.
There doesn't seem like there is too much involved in bolting them together, but there is definetly something wrong. I thought i would ask you guys in case this has happened before. I hope its not the frame.
here are some pics.

Need more pics to see the panel gaps.

If you tub wasn't unbolted, you may have a problem. If it was, I'd loosen all body mounts and give the back a shove toward the passengers side.

pass fender looks like it was bolted at least an inch maybe more higher than the other side.. that would cause some of your problems.

Mine looked alot like that when I put mine back together. But I replaced up tub and had the cowl off. I just left everything loose and pushed, shoved shimmed and tweeked to get it all aligned nicely. It took me probably a good solid day to align everything the way I wanted. Little patience and couple a beers and you will have it. Remeber these things did not come straight and all aligned perfectly from the factory. That is what makes them so cool. Perfect body gaps.... Whatever!!! Good luck.

Thanks for the advice guys. I think i am going to tear into today and see what kind of damage i can do.
