Did you have to modify the HZJ76 take off? I was told it required some modification up front.

I had already ordered a factory front pipe before I discovered that they had the take offs

I bought the entire 76 take off and compared the front and rear pipes and the take off and factory 76 are same shape and both fit

The 76 take off looked like it was about 1" longer to the rear and the take off doesnt have the resonator looking section.

I ended up using the factory front pipe along with the 76 take off middle and rear.

The middle pipe is a bitch whether its factory 77 or the take off....you need to drop the trans mount and lower the back of the engine a touch to get it into place.

It took some wrangling to get the back section of the original out and the replacement in but it all works/fit

These look like the right parts. Do you happen to know the website that cross references part numbers ?

The primary and secondary from Bruce's (lowenbrau) will bolt right up and the other parts can be easily modified by an exhaust shop. May be a better deal than Cruiserparts!
