Saw this on this 25. It has R stamped on the top of all the vertical bars. Anyone seen this before or have any guesses?
I guessed that it was once owned by Roy Rogers and was worth a zillion dollars on ebay.

Nah, everyone knows Roy Rogers had a Patrol. :p Could be worth a zillion dollars though. If they're aluminum Probably a fence supply company that began with "R" as they were used on top of 2" sch 40 fence posts. If it's galvanized or black steel, could be a plumbing supplier.

So, are we going to post more pics of this 25, or are you going to leave us hanging? ;)

So it looks like a 25 body with later steering and a V8. I've never seen a gas fill opening added to the driver's side. Stock open but on the other side. I wonder what they are using for a gas tank. It would be worth alot more if they have the soft doors to match the factory bows. Looking at the hub it may have a disk brake axle. I don't understand why anybody would want to replace the FJ25's wonderful brakes:rolleyes:

Really Rare ;)

Looks like it may have potential...with a lot of work

Any idea on the price?

wrong bows...apron vent?

no holes in fenders for directionals

...gas tank location? looks even tilted?

see alot in the back...maybe some good parts? new bird in the box? :)

front ends all apart...it has been thru many changes during its life i bet

would like to know were this came from...and frame #

looks like a good base to start from....NICE looking rig :)

The bow problem is a pretty easy fix. Probably easier to make later style soft door to match. Hole in the apron was only for oil bath cleaner. paper element didn't have the hole. FJ25 didn't have turn signals on the fenders. The parking lights in the bib were dual element bulbs, the brighter element being for turn signal. The gas fill opening looks about right for a FJ25 just on the wrong side. It is angle to help match the door opening.

John

PS looks like the three bolt hole fender which means it's probably a 1959 or earlier.
