Hey all,
Truck is a 1988 FJ62. I was replacing some brake lines this evening. In the process I ended up braking the end of the Axel to Caliper in the fitting that
appears to be welded to the dust shield. I also broke off an easy out in the
tip that broke off. Realizing Im completely fawked, here's my question.
As a temporary fix would it be alright if I bought a fitting and rigged the Caliper
and Axel to Caliper line and mounted it someway to the dust shield. I absolutly
don't want to tear down that side (left) it's already in bad shape and I don't have the Parts to do it. i Will be doing a full front Axel rebuild in about 6 to 8 weeks just looking for a fix to get me buy till then. without killing myself or someone else with this idea. Thanks

These hose #'s are for brake hoses that go from axle to caliper and skip the the dust shield crap.
Do a search you may find more info too.

NAPA 38881 (longer) or 38878 (shorter).

Good Luck !
