Hey guys, does anyone know if FZJ front discs will fit on FJ series. Wanted to know because I'm doing brakes really soon so I need to know what to buy.

Thanks for helping out.

Only if you change the calipers and the brake pads. This is just a guess, I have not done this my self. I beleive the bolt mounting holes are the same. The calipers and rotors are smaller on the 91-92. there is a possiablility that all will work. A good experment for some one to try with the time and dollars to play with. later robbie

I just finished putting ceramic front pads for a 100 series on my 91 about 100 miles ago. They seamed to fit with the grinding I learned somewhere on this forum. I think another problem arose though and I'm currently trying to track it down. My brake pedal goes to the floor and will not lock the brakes up (not even on gravel). I replaced the back brakes at the same time but I'm sure they are adjusted right. I adjusted them a little tight and I can lock them up with the E-brake. I have the OME 2.5 lift so I thought it may be the load sensing valve (LSV). I zip tied it up and nothing changed. I didn't turn the rotors but they look good.

DigitalKnight86---I don't mean to highjack you're thread, just thought this might apply to you too.

Can someone tell me the size of the blead valve fittings so I can do the FSM pressure test? Have a feeling the master cylinder is jacked. I can't even pump the brakes up.

What is the possibility of the LSV being bad and how can I test it. A friend of mine suggested removing the OEM one oand putting in a manually adjustable proportioning valve or even a preset one from onother truck

Did the problem arise as soon as you did the brake job?

It sounds like air in the rear lines to me. When you did the rear brakes did you replace the cylinders?

They were soft before I replaced the shoes and pads but not this bad. I didn't replace anything else as there was no sign of leaking from any of the cylinders. I didn't blead them either but I guess I should try that before I spend the money on a new master cyl. The thing is, they don't even pump up. The will stop me, but I'd be in trouble in an emergency. I went wheeling last Sunday and they wouldn't even hold me up on a rock, it just slowly dropped down the other side. I wouldn't think of taking it down any meduim to steep declines.

It sounds ike you introduced some air into the system. Full bleed and you should see some improvement.
