I was replacing a CV (passenger side) so I thought i would go ahead and change the axle seal as well on my 2008. Ordered part number 90311-47027. Pulled the old seal and they are definitely not the same. Thoughts? Remedies? What about the spring?

Verify, wouldn't use it.
Is it the right part number? Toyota typically has different size seals for each side isn’t the front.

Well, I sure thought it was by looking at a parts diagram late at night.
The part number for the larger axle seal on the left in the picture above with the brown inlay (my non-technical description) is 90311-47013
