I spent the majority of the day up in Malden with Nat swapping out the rear suspension and 25mm torsion bars on the 4Runner, now known as the Barbarian. 4 inches higher in the back, 2 (and 1/8!) higher in the front! Might wanna get those rear shocks replaced sometime soon... took off the anti-sway bar too. Still sitting on 31", but I'm most definitely going intermmediate this time around, that is if I'll be allowed to without a locker...?

Now for the front skid plate, then I'm good to go.

Here's before:

Nat I'm afraid we might have to take out one of the extra load leafs or something, it seriously feels like I'm driving a trampoline down the road! It's bouncing all over the place, no flex at ALL. I'd hate to lose any height but i think seven leafs might be a little overkill...?

That and I'm still dicking around with getting the driveshaft flanges lines up right, i dunno where it originally was but it's definitely vibrating quite a bit...

no biggie we dont even have to take the leafs of the truck just have to un do the u bolts and unbolt the leaf pack and decide which ones to take out shouldent take to long

Did you check to see if the shocks are at the end of there travel. You mentioned that you needed new ones if they are stock they might be the problem not the springs.

We remounted the shocks, they're stretched out a bit further but they seemed to be sitting ok... However they are Monroes, so their days might be numbered (oh well!) there's seven leafs in the springs and i believe two of which are extra thick, one in particular that runs the whole length, i'm leaning toward taking that one out it'll probably soften it up quite a bit. I just hope it doesn't make my truck drop a whole inch! I'm in love with the height.

I forgot to mention, these are the springs Lane gave to Nat at the spring gathering! Big thanks to both of you for the help!

Nat how's this saturday afternoon/evening look for you?

SAS!

Why? I don't think drivability is lost with a solid axle.

Time and money my friends, time and money. I have a little time, but much less money.

A once I do, the first thing I need to do is buy new cymbals for my drums, those things are hurting. Some microphones are in order too... and some sort of half stack for my guitar... some tattooes would be cool... I could use some new clothes... haven't gone grocery shopping in a while... beer is good...

That's cool, man. I don't think it would have worked that well on the back of a Runner anyway. I'll find a use for it.

Some 34x9.5 TSL's would look nice on your truck.
