Free Cruiser 3SP Transfer Case & More

I was approached last night by Nathan Campbell, co-owner of Ken's Auto in Crescent City, to put this out there. I'm just the messenger, so just contact him directly with any questions, etc. at 707-464-4955.

He's needing to clean out storage space and has a free 3SP x-case, free gearsets, & a 4SP x-case & tranny for just $150. All in good condition.

Since I am the one most expected to ask questions like this....here I go! What did the 3 speed T-case come stock in and how does that work? 3 different gear ranges in 4X4??

I think it might be from behind a 3 speed trans... But I'm not a Cruiser guy...

pre 1979 ish and earlier came with a one piece aluminum case than did not have any mounts and is compact but not as burly as the split case versions which were beefed up over time.
It is specific to the transmissions that originally came with that type of case. The 3 and 4 speed cases can be interchanged with modifications of the internals but they are only 2 speed, HI and Low.

I see, so when they speak of 3 and 4 speed cases, they are referring to the number of gears in the tranny's they mate to?? Thanks Kief.
