Cool ! you'll love em.

One of the biggest things I noticed was how little foot pressure it takes to hold the truck from rolling back on a steep hill...those the eldorados with ebrake or are you sans ebrake now?

( I have a box of parts to build a tcase ebrake)

and on another note, I got pissed off at all this roofing bs that's been consuming my time, and started reassembling that winch...much to my amazement, it seems like all the parts are there...:hillbilly:

You worried the float won't float in diesel? :flipoff2:

Im using the 12v gasser sender hooked up to 24v.... No explosions yet, but if there was a difference it would be the voltage i would think.

Not sure how accurate it is mind you... but at some point I'll have a turbo and reroute the exhaust so I can get a tank under the truck again, so until then, I think it reads empty before it actually IS empty, which if it's going to be off a bit, is the good way for it to be off...

Take it out and use an ohm meter if you don't get a reading when full or empty replace, it will work. I use the stock one but the thin wires in sender break in time.

Bumper looks good.

They actually sell Lucky out there? and more the point, people actually buy it? Was it kinda dusty and in the back corner waiting for a displaced island redneck to comealong?

Mind you it's better than the cariboo pale ale I made the mistake of buying this weekend. You know it's bad when your first though is, whoa, has this s*** gone off?

Fourth one tasted better. :hillbilly:

There is solid proof that 2 or more Lucky makes you smarter, you weld better, drive better and of course the ladies get waaaay better looking.:flipoff2:

how thick is that plate that your using for mounting to the frame... looks like its going to have shackles at the other end...??

Is 1/4 inch good enough for the frame mounts do you think? it'll have 4 good size bolts on it to hold it to the frame... so I was thinking that 1/4 was good enough for that then I can just beef up the mounts in the front

(I'm thinking of welding 1/4 inch plate to each side of it making it 3/4 of an inch thick for pulling off the front)

Thoughts?

Triangulation.....

Wont help for the recovery points but will do the trick in the frame mounting.

What are you saying Cam?

is 1/4 good enough for the frame mounts?

Will doubling/tripling it up on the front of the bumper do the trick?

I was thinking I could drill some 1/2 inch holes in the pieces I'm doubling up then plug weld them for strength....
